We are super excited especially after such a long wait. If you didn't know Jeff and I had been trying for about 2 years.

We tried naturally for about a year and then started to run some tests. We found out that I wasn't constantly ovulating so they put me Clomid and Jeff had enough swimmers to populate China. Way to be Jeff lol

Clomid...not going to lie, it scared me. I had fears of becoming that ragging bitch, fat from a medication, or getting dizzy. Being dizzy makes me panic slightly, it's such a weird thing. I started it and guess what? No side effects! Ok I may have had a moment or 2 but no real constant side effects.

I took Clomid for 4 months with no success, very disappointing and frustrating. If you've never been down the infertility road it's more than just meeting with your doctor, finding out whats wrong, getting a fix it med, and having a lot of sex. It's also constantly keeping an eye on your ovulation calendar, as gross as this sounds paying attention to every secretion that comes out of you, and listening to every little bump, mood swing, and temperature spike you have. It literally CONSUMES your life and your marriage.

4 months with no success was a bummer, so we finally switched meds to Femara. Once again I had the fears as listed above but knew this was what I wanted to do, so I went ahead and started the med. We started that and we also started doing Artificial Insemination. I think we rode that roller coaster 4 times. If you don't know the process, look up the details. It's a very time sensitive thing that involves ovulation tests, calls to the doctor office, your husband, a specimen cup, and rushing to the doctors office to have the specimen spun down, placed in a syringe, and a bed with stir-ups. Catch my drift? Just know when that ovulation test said positive you can just plan on having no plans that afternoon.
So 4 months of that and no success, major bummer! The next step after that was for me to have surgery. I held off on the surgery until the beginning of 2015 because I couldn't handle meeting my insurance deductible at the end of the year. January rolled around and BAM I'm on the other side of the medical field getting an IV placed by one of my old coworkers, peeing in a cup, and having fluids ran into me. Next it was the waiting game until they took me back into the OR where they checked to see if I had endometriosis and to flush my fallopian tubes.

Good news, no endometriosis! Then the next month we were pregnant and our little girl has been growing big and strong since then.
