Welcome to Inspirational Point, a simple uphill walk to 3 amazing lookouts. We decided to wear baby N because there was no way I was going to push the stroller up the hill. So if you are unable to walk up a steep hill seeing all 3 points might not be the best option for you, but there is 1 that is just off the parking lot.

It was really sunny that day with a tiny bit of a chill, but I was more worried about baby N and her sweet baby skin, hence the blanket and the hat.

Sunrise Point was the busiest out of them all, it might have been because it was the first stop inside the park and the access to the couple of hikes from that point. This part we were able to take our stroller and wheel her around. At the top of one of the lookout points it was really windy but the rest was just fine.

Bryce Point was our last spot and also the least busy spot of all 3, it was the furthest too lol. The parking lot was really small so I can't imagine it during busy season. We got an awesome parking spot and ended up eating lunch in the bed of the truck. The walk to the lookouts was short and so gorgeous;
After visiting Bryce with the little my 5 tips for any new mom would be:

1. Take the chest carrier. This seriously was the best idea. We weren't always able to use the stroller and if we would have planned the trip little better we actually could have done some hikes with her like that.

2. When hotels say they have a 'crib' know that they really mean they have a pack n play. Well at least this hotel meant pack n play. After this trip I think I'll just feel better when we take our own pack n play. I literally thought it was a crib, but maybe that was just my first time mom thinking.

3. Sunscreen always! Always pack sunscreen no matter where you're going.

4. Our Bumbo was a lifesaver. Little N wasn't old enough to sit up on her own yet so we took the Bumbo and I'm so glad we did. When we had lunch at Bryce Point we sat in the bed of the truck, I sat on the tailgate and she sat in the bed in her Bumbo. We were able to eat lunch comfortably and out of the sun.

5. Just have fun. Kids can be difficult to travel with. Try not to have the same strict routine as you do at home, be flexible, and just have fun. Remember we you just want to remember the fun times of the trip not the times when you were fighting the littles schedule.

In my opinion Bryce Canyon is perfect for little kids, it's not to big, there is still fun things to see, and the trails I mentioned are easy ones that little kids could walk on their own.

This was the last leg of the trail that we rode. I really was looking forward to riding the part past Harrison but with little N it didn't work out that we could do it. This last part of the trail was about 27 miles, it was just as easy as the last part. This leg we decided to leave little N with her grandparents so we could go a little faster than yesterday. The ride was beautiful, like the last leg. This one had less tree areas and more water areas, we even rode right next to a controlled fire...yay for smoke in my lungs while I was riding :(

You get a pretty clear shot of my favorite helmet I have ever owned, the Laser O2 Helmet.
It fits great, and if it needs to be tightened there is a dial in the back that will cinch it to the hug the back of your head. The helmet doesn't stick out weird in the front or the back, and looks like it fits my tiny head perfectly. When I say tiny head I'm serious, I have to buy a childs size fitted hat. Here are my favorite colors that Lazer offers.

The ride from Wallace to Cataldo was just under 23 miles. This leg of the ride was my favorite. It was so pretty, it rode next to a river the whole time and in and out of tree area. There was no elevation gain which made the ride so relaxing and more enjoyable. Little baby N rode in the bike trailer the whole time and actually fell asleep for about an hr, which usually happens in the trailer. Jeff was the muscle man and was hauling literally about 100 lbs on his bike with all our camping gear, clothes, and some food. Now, I didn't allow him to do all the hard work, I also had some panniers full of camping equipment, clothes, and food.

















After riding with little N we've learned a few things.

1. You need a good trailer. We have the Burley Honey Bee and I love it. It is made for 2 little people and has storage behind the seat. The trailer also can be used as a stroller which I love that, and when you're not using the handle it folds down toward the front and adds an additional support. We bought an extra add in to make the chair a little more comfy for little N.



2. Sunscreen. Even though baby is in the trailer, the trailer doesn't provide any sun protection. If you notice in the video there was my long sleeve shirt hanging over the trailer, that's because even though we put sunscreen on her I didn't want her in the straight sun. We use the Babyganics brand and really love it. I personally haven't tried any of the other brands on little N, but I use Neutropena on myself and because I have eczema and CeraVe is eczema friendly.



3. Panniers. Good panniers mean happy ride and happy stay. Everything stays clean and dry. I borrowed my dads Ortlieb bags and we did encounter a little rain and everything I had including my camera stayed dry. The Ortliebs worked great for our trip, but I also have the Axiom ones and they are perfect for every day rides. The Axiom ones do come will yellow rain covers if you need to throw them on. I had 4 bags total, 2 in the front and 2 in the back. When you pack your load you'll want to put more weight on the front wheel than back, this is something I didn't know.

The Route of the Hiawatha is a train track turned into a dirt bike trail. It's a shuttled route that is 15 miles long, it goes through 10 train tunnels and 7 sky high trestles. This trail is one of the coolest trails I've been on, not to mention the easiest to because it's all downhill. There is a 1.7 mile tunnel and it gets pretty dark and freezing in there. My hands seriously froze and I had to keep them warm in my pocket afterwards. The views are gorgeous and breath taking when you are on top of those trestles.



If you are interested in going I highly recommend it, even if you don't ride at all. It's that easy. When you get to the trailhead there is a group there you pay ($19) so that you can catch a ride back to your car when you reach the end. If you don't have a bike, they also rent them there too. It's also very family friendly so take the kiddos.
